The Dissidents (Extended 2025): A novel by H.M. Forester

I'm very happy to announce that an extended edition of The Dissidents by H.M. Forester has now been published.

And after spending days locked in my apartment, having run out of coffee and other supplies, been driven on by my daemon, and half smoked myself to death, I too am much relieved to have finally been released.

Enforcement Officer Kingsley is pretty sure of himself and the Greater Good that the Hive stands for, and he shows no compunction when rooting out the dissidents and having them banged to rights.

But all that changes when he meets Holly Potter, a dissident informant, and he is assigned to work undercover with her, in order to penetrate to the very heart of the dissident movement. What they experience and learn comes at a terrible personal price.

The Dissidents is a dystopian, sci-fi novel of approximately 95,000 words. It is more about people than technology.

In the first two editions, the 46,000 novella stopped abruptly at a cliff-hanger at what is now the end of Part 1. It has since been extended.

I hope you enjoy reading the book!
